LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR THE ROSE TREE MEDIA COMMUNITY
Meet Dr. Janet Beausoleil
I have been a Middletown resident for 20 years. My husband, Jim, is an attorney and our daughters both graduated from RTMSD, Lauren attending Boston College Law school where Jackie also attends and is a junior.
I received my undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College and my medical degree from The University of Connecticut, completing my Pediatrics residency at Dartmouth and my fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Thomas Jefferson University. I was a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a physician at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for 11 years, and entered private practice at Main Line Allergy in 2009.
As a member and Past President of the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association, I have advocated for state legislation allowing students to possess and self-administer inhalers and epinephrine, school access to emergency epinephrine, and administration of epinephrine by school bus drivers and crossing guards.
I am Medical Director for two support groups for parents of children with food allergy. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to advocating for the well-being and safety of my patients, particularly in educational settings, where I have been involved in establishing IEPs, IHPs and 504 plans.
The most fulfilling part of my career has been watching my young patients follow their paths into adulthood, and I firmly believe the education and support a school provides has a significant influence on this outcome.
